Greg Roffe, the founder of Redalfa, began his career in the computer industry in the 1980s as an IBM PC hardware and network engineer. Over the ensuing decades, he worked for blue-chip corporations, managing IT infrastructure across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. His hands-on expertise spanned the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of complex networks, while leading teams of technicians to deliver high-performance IT environments for diverse organisations and industries.
In 2000, Greg launched his own IT management and support service for small businesses in the UK, assuming full ownership of clients' infrastructure—from hardware and software to operating systems, day-to-day technical support, and overall management. As systems increasingly integrated with the internet, cybersecurity threats escalated, making it paramount for businesses to implement robust, secure solutions. Drawing from over two decades of experience running a successful managed service provider, Greg has offered high-level technical services to customers, emphasising resilient systems built on industry best practices. Greg has always been very customer service focused and can understand the need or questions from the non technical management and match it to a solution.
However, in recent years, the IT manager's role has often been diminished to basic troubleshooting—such as resolving Microsoft 365 email issues, Windows login problems, printing failures, or scam alerts—while overlooking critical strategic areas like disaster recovery planning, subscription management, budgeting for IT projects, and ongoing expenses. Greg is committed to re-elevating the IT manager's position to its rightful place: engaging at the board level with directors, focusing on strategic oversight rather than day-to-day "nuts and bolts." This includes providing a comprehensive view of IT systems' performance and their return on investment, enabling informed decision-making that drives business growth.

Outside of the IT world, Greg has a passion for Motorsport and has been competing in the British Karting Championships with his son with some outstanding results. One of the major highlights was winning the British Open Championship at our home track, Buckmore Park in Kent. Karting is essentially a masterclass in high-pressure problem solving. It’s one of the few hobbies that manages to workout your body, your brain, and your character all at once. The paddock community is a unique subculture, you’ll find people from all walks of life helping each other fostering deep social bonds through a shared challange.
